Questions to Ask When Selecting an SEO Services Firm

He never fails to amaze me! I see a lot of traffic on the forum and blog posts about people who want help to select an SEO services company. If you're new to the world of organic search engine optimization, this task may seem a little overwhelming at first. Believe me, with a little investigative work and a little common sense, you can be sure to select a company that meets your search engine optimization needs. There are a lot of companies out there... so let's take a look at some basic things you should start with when you're looking for this SEO partner!

Questions to ask when selecting an SEO service company:

1. It's all about price! Or is it? In the end, the price matters. But be careful ... Most often, you get exactly what you pay for. If you really think and close SEO you agree to pay $75.00/month. Under a 1- or 2-year contract, you'll get the same results or provide the same level of customer service as someone who charges more, you're joking more than likely. On the other hand, it should not cost $4,500.00/month. Neither do I. What you should be looking for is someone who really understands your goals, your business strategy, your competitors and how to make it work within the limits of your site, your budget and search engine algorithms.

2. Have you searched Google for your potential SEO business? Always Google your business partners. Check out all the online conversations, messages (positive and negative) about them. Spend some time looking for them, digging them out and looking for them. You may be surprised at what you find. If you don't find them in search engine results, they promise to put you in... Keep them off your list of potential suppliers!

3. Are they well ranked in SEO searches? Does it matter? Hopefully in your research, you've come to understand a few things... - there are PLENTY of SEO companies out there! It takes time to get on the first page and there are MILLIERS of companies trying to rank for the top 9 places on this first page for the hashtag 'SEO'. In addition, knowing that our industry (search engine optimization companies) competes with like-minded professionals who are supposed to know how to classify their website. Instead, ask them to give you key phrases for which they have optimized their site and see where they rank in these searches. This should give you a better overall picture of the capabilities and skills needed to develop an SEO program to maximize your exposure to search engines for keywords that are important to you.

4. How big is the SEO you want to work with? Of course, it's nice to know that you're dealing with a large, well-established company with 40 to 50 employees. But, how do you think they will be reactive with your account? The larger the company, the more likely it is to have policies and procedures, and the more likely you are to come across someone who will say "sorry... it's our policy!" Wouldn't you rather hear an enthusiast... "sure we can do it for you!"? Let's face it ... Small businesses offer better customer service and "bend" the rules because, in small businesses, the rules are set by the people who serve you, not by a stifling board of directors or business owners who don't understand the first thing about SEO.

5. Web Designers and SEO? It is actually very sad for me that more website designers do not offer SEO packages in their field of activity. But then again, if they did, I might not have a job! If you need to redesign your site, be sure to select a company that implements a robust search engine optimization strategy from the start. This will save you time and money.
